2. Receive broadcast data sent by OLT: ONU can receive broadcast data sent by the Optical Line Terminal (OLT), allowing for efficient data transmission.

3. Collect and cache Ethernet data: ONU collects and caches Ethernet data that needs to be sent by users and sends it to OLT according to the allocated sending window.

4. Abundant remote management capabilities: ONU offers abundant remote management capabilities supported by OAM (Operation, Administration, and Maintenance), ensuring efficient management and maintenance of the network.

Where is ONU in FTTx?

ONU can be placed in different locations depending on the FTTx (Fiber To The x) technology used. The different types of FTTx technologies include:

1. FTTC (Fiber To The Curb): ONU is placed in the central office of the community.

2. FTTB (Fiber To The Building): ONU is set down in the junction box in the corridor.

3. FTTN (fiber-to-the-node): ONU sits at the access point.

4. FTTH (Fiber To The Home): ONU is located in the family users’ house.

Types of ONU Routers

1. EPON ONU: EPON ONU adopts the MTK WiFi 5 chipset and USB 3.0, providing a speed of up to 1200Mbps. It also supports IPV4 and IPV6.

2. GPON ONU: GPON ONU has 4×10/100Mbps auto-adaptive Ethernet interfaces and 10/100M full/half RJ45 connectors. It supplies Reserve POE power from +12 to +24VDC.

3. xPON ONU (Dual Mode): xPON ONU adopts the MTK WiFi 5 chipset and USB 3.0, providing a speed of up to 1200Mbps. It also supports IPV4 and IPV6.
